Thunder Force
Creative Coordinator

Development
Thunder Force was submitted to Netflix by Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone. Written and directed by Ben, starring and produced by Melissa McCarthy, and produced by Marc Platt Productions, Thunder Force came in as a superhero action comedy with potential for a four quadrant audience appeal. We developed the script with Ben and Melissa until greenlighting the project for production.
Prep and Production
During prep and production for Thunder Force, the creative team was the last stop in making final decisions regarding production schedule, budgets, supporting cast, and locations. I reviewed new oneliners as they came in, to check and approve the schedule, locations and make sure the script was covered. We read new drafts as they came in closer to production, and during production reviewed all the dailies to look out for any legal, continuity, or script coverage errors. I would send a daily selects report to studio leadership, with a description of the production progress as well as anything worthy of flagging.

Post-Production
From Director’s Cut to Locked Picture, we reviewed every cut of the film and provided our notes to the Ben, Melissa and Marc Platt. Later in the post-production process, we showed cuts to test audiences in theaters across the United States. We synthesized audience data from these screenings and delivered them to the filmmakers, in collaboration with our Consumer Insights team. I worked cross-functionally with our post-production and VFX teams to ensure delivery of the locked picture.
