Tick, Tick… Boom!
Creative Coordinator
Development
Tick, Tick… Boom! was submitted to Netflix as a script penned by Steven Levenson, adapted from the late Jonathan Larson’s autobiographical musical of the same name.
Lin-Manuel Miranda was attached to produce and direct as his film directorial debut. Andrew Garfield was attached to star. Our team oversaw this film through script development and casting until it was ready for production.
Prep & Production
In pre-production, I coordinated weekly prep calls as we put together a budget, shooting schedule, and locked down locations for principal photography.
In production, I watched all of the daily footage that came in to assure that there were no errors and the production was completing all the scheduled shot coverage. I collaborated internally with Netflix teams to promptly address any potential production obstacles as they arose, and attended weekly production calls that ensured the project stayed on schedule and on budget.
Post-Production
In post-production, we reviewed every cut from the Director’s Cut to the Final Locked Picture, providing notes to the filmmaker team and producers along the way. Later in Post, we showed cuts to test audiences in theaters across the United States.
I collaborated with our Consumer Insights team to synthesize audience data and communicate commonalities in their feedback to Lin-Manuel. I worked cross-functionally with our post-production and VFX teams to ensure delivery of the locked picture.
